About Osman

Hello there,

This is Osman here, the one and only man behind this website! In this section, I would like to tell you about myself and explain why I’m doing all the stuff you are reading and watching here.

I was born in İzmir, Turkey in 1984. Lived there until I graduated from university. I’m not exactly sure when I really became interested in music and guitars but I think it was when I was 14-15 years old. In those years, I started listening to Queen and became obsessed with music and guitars.

Luckily, we had music lessons at school and every student back in the day had at least attempted playing a recorder. I was also a bit more blessed because my sister wanted to play the keyboard and the guitar. However, I was more into these instruments and owned them all the time! Later on, I started taking guitar lessons from a local guitar tutor and finally started playing some electric guitar.

Studying an engineering faculty and practising the guitar at the same time in those years didn’t really help me to become a fully professional guitarist. But I managed to have played some gigs and recorded a lot of stuff in my humble studio.

After I graduated from university, I made a radical decision and moved to London to develop my English and just to see what would happen. Even though I had already departed from the idea of becoming a musician or an industry professional, I wasn’t really able to detach from the context of it. This led me to choose a guitar company for my marketing dissertation project and also helped me to see my life-long passion in a business context.

Once done with my studies and survived long enough in London, I moved back to Turkey and joined the army! 🙂 I completed my military service and moved to İstanbul to start working for a musical instruments reseller company. The dots between the lines seemed to start linking with each other! Next, I joined another musical instruments company, this time an importer one. Unfortunately, the economy wasn’t doing great and the music business wasn’t going to take me anywhere from there. This is why I had to depart from musical instruments business (hopefully for a while though!).

What am I trying to do here on this website?

Having worked in the musical instruments business and been able to combine it with my passion, I was able to gain a huge amount of experience that not many people could normally tap into, especially in my home country.

So I have decided to pour all the expertise in this niche business into my personal website 🙂

Here I’m not just trying to sell or promote instruments to you. What I really want to achieve is that I want to provide you with the most honest, real musical instruments reviews and guides as well as introducing great brands in the industry. My ambition is to build a solid sensation of trust in what I release here so you can always come and access the real content without a single doubt in your mind.

I always aim to create extra value in my content that I can offer to you for free. There are thousands of websites that just list products and redirect you to some stores. However, I don’t want to be one of them. I really want to answer your questions in particular topics and sometimes even provide insight and extra value before you even ask for it.

On top of that, I also want to debunk the myths perpetuated by musicians and industry professionals that make you doubt about your purchasing decisions in the context of musical instruments. As you might guess, this means a tremendous amount of my personal time goes into here while I’m doing my day job as anyone out there.

So I would like to kindly ask for your support!

Please do follow me and like my pages & content on social media and subscribe to my e-mail list below so we can keep in touch whenever we need.

I would also really appreciate if you share my content on social media. Even my content is not directly useful for you, but one of your friends might benefit from them.

I have also partnered with the best musical instruments store in the universe, Thomann!

So if you ever buy anything from there by visiting Thomann links on my website and in my various contents, I will make a small commission and be able to keep doing this for a long time!

Lastly, please do not hesitate to contact me whenever you need help in the context of musical instruments and their business aspects. I’m almost always here to assist you with your questions for free! You can always buy me a coffee here! 🙂

Thanks so much for your support and reading so far!
