I somehow managed to find a Vintage V6 Stratocaster. “Vintage” brand is a really successful guitar manufacturer that makes Strat and Tele clones at the highest possible quality and lowest possible price. It’s just amazing how these instruments sell at the entry-level market. It’s not easy to find one, but you should definitely check them out. Why? Because it’s very close to an original one with already upgraded hardware such as Wilkinson pickups, Wilkinson bridge and tuners. Normally you would upgrade your entry level guitar with these components just to step up a little bit.
I also used my RME Babyface PRO featuring Kurzweil KS-40 reference monitors, Chicken Picks and Positive Grid Bias FX (’94 Match DC amp). For the strings, I gave a try to La Bella Vapor Shield. I must say even though I’m a die-hard fan of Elixir brand, I was quite impressed by the life-span of the strings and feeling.
