I always like to transcribe musical lines that are produced by other instruments rather than the guitar. All kinds of fretted (and sometimes fretless instruments as well) instruments have a similar approach and we sometimes get lost in its graphically easy-to-play attribute and try to play physical things rather than the music itself. Think about a trumpet player, they have to take a breath and play wisely most of the times. Not like guitar players 🙂 So when you transcribe these kinds of lines, you will find out that there is more to consider about music rather than just playing lines. As Gypsy music and trumpets are my all-time favourite musical items, I wanted to give it a try and transcribe the beautiful trumpet solo on the track called “Que Dolor” by Fanfare Ciocarlia.
This was probably the first video that I used my Chapman ML1 electric guitar along with RME Babyface, Klotz Titanium cables, Chicken Picks Shredder. As for the software, I used LePou’s Hybrit amp and Mokafix E-Z Drive.
