About MusicNomad
For those unfamiliar with the Music Nomad company, here’s a brief introduction and a glimpse into its history. Music Nomad is an American company founded by Rand Rognlien. Mr Rognlien was the owner of the Car Care company throughout the ’90s and 2000s. He specialised in this segment and managed to develop over 100 Car Care products, becoming a market leader in the process. As a musician, guitar and bass player, he wanted to achieve more in the music field and launched MusicNomad.com in 2008.
Surprisingly, the MusicNomad website was initially a platform where musicians could discover ranked and reviewed resources to help them produce, sell and support their music, along with hundreds of articles, tips and tricks on music making. As Mr Rognlien wanted to keep everything free of charge for musicians, he also started thinking about creating a revenue stream to accelerate the growth of the MusicNomad company. Therefore, he used his extensive experience in manufacturing the highest-quality cleaning and care products by working with experts in the business and eventually created the MusicNomad product line. They tested all the possible cleaning, care and maintenance products, such as polishes and waxes, in the music industry and improved upon them as they did not like everything about what the market offered. Their unique formula, combined with their utmost care in selecting the best and most environmentally friendly ingredients, such as White Brazilian Carnauba, as well as UV protectants and Gloss Enhancers, features 100% non-toxic, non-abrasive ingredients. Even the bottles they use are made of 100% PET, the most environmentally friendly and recyclable plastic.

How I Met MusicNomad Products?
It was almost exactly 13 years ago (2013) when I first got Music Nomad products, including their Guitar One, F-One Oil and Guitar Polish. As far as I remember, F-One Oil was possibly one of the first guitar fingerboard care products that featured 100% essential oil. I was very surprised that this product was already designed and released to the MI market back in the day. I even got inspired by this product and attempted to create my own essential oil mix.

Later, I joined the best online music store company, MyDukkan.com in Turkey and had the chance to try, test and access over 20000 musical instruments, gear, pieces of equipment and accessories. There, we would exclusively use Music Nomad products for many applications. Their product line always felt unique and outstanding in this niche segment. 
Luckily, the Music Nomad product line is now in stock almost always on Thomann’s website. When I noticed that, I immediately added multiple Music Nomad products to my last order and received them successfully! To be honest, I got most of the MN products in terms of cleaning and maintenance products, in addition to what I have mentioned above. For instance, Music Nomad Frine is a great fret polish that I have been using! I’m also a very big fan of their guitar polish named Guitar Detailer. It’s become my favourite guitar polish!
Music Nomad Amp Case Cleaner
I recently had a pretty big order and bought a Marshall JVM 410H guitar amp. Along with this amp, I added loads of pedals, accessories, as well as care and maintenance products. As I was going to have a proper tube amp for the first time in my life, I felt spoiled and added I just noticed Amp & Case Cleaner to my cart! 🙂 One of the other reasons that I got the Amp and Case Cleaner was my Fender Stratocaster‘s hard case. I have been keeping the case in a depot out of my apartment, and recently noticed that it got very dusty in that dark place! 🙂 So I thought I could first test this on my hard case.
As the name suggests, Music Nomad Amp & Case Cleaner is a care and maintenance product that cleans, conditions, and preserves amp tolex and hard cases. It works on all leather, tolex, vinyl and rubber materials. So you can use it for many other applications, such as drum chairs and electronic drum rubber pads. It creates a moisture-resistant barrier and does not attract dust as it’s not greasy. It also features UV Protectants without any added harsh chemicals and is 100% non-abrasive. Note that it is not designed to be used for soft cases that are made of polyester or nylon materials, and also tweed-style amps. In case you are interested, it’s a vegan product too! Shelf life is around 3 years at room temperature, but it can be used for longer periods too. 
Music Nomad Amp & Case Cleaner Ingredients
- C12-14 secondary, ethoxylate surfactant – Used as a binder
- DMDM Hydantoin preservative – Used to make the solution environment less favourable to the microorganisms
- Mono(hydroxymethyl)-5,5-dimethylimidazolidine-2,4-dione – Used to make the solution environment less favourable to the microorganisms
- Eugenol Fragrance – For flavouring the solution
- C.I. Acid Violet 48 – For colouring the solution
How to Use MusicNomad Amp & Case Cleaner?
The usage is pretty easy, just add a couple of drops (or more!) on the case or the amp tolex, then rub it with a cloth or cotton. Music Nomad already has some videos, demoing the usage of the amp & case cleaner. Let’s have a quick look at these below.

As you can see, it immediately cleans the surface; however, you may say you could have the same effect just by wiping your guitar amp tolex or hardcase surface with a damp cloth. But that’s not the case! It’s way different from just using a damp cloth. 
Review
In order to show you, I used my dusty hard case as a use case (fun intended!) and just applied the Amp & Case Cleaner and took before and after photos.
It may not be so clear that it’s in a bad condition, but you will know what I mean in a second! I just added a couple of generous drops on the hard case as below, and it’s not what you think! 🙂
I used a piece of cotton and rubbed the hard case until I covered every bit of the surface. Considering the surface area of a hard case, it was just the right amount and imagine how many times you would be able to apply this to your hard case with the provided amount! And here’s the final result! It looks and feels awesome, I was really surprised how it can just bring back the brand new feeling. Apart from the case, now smells so nice, and it also has a great texture when you touch the surface. Don’t think that it’s greasy and sticky, it’s very slippery and doesn’t leave any residue on your fingertips at all! 
It not only cleans, restores and maintains the original look, but it also retains this look and feel for a long time! As with any Music Nomad product, I can definitely recommend Amp & Case Cleaner to anyone owning hard cases, drum thrones, and guitar amps with tolex. It may look a bit costly if you think about how much you would be paying for a litre of this; however, you will probably be using the bottle for 3 to 4 years (depending on how many times you need to apply and how big the surface area is).
I have my full trust in their product line and have no doubt the product quality across their entire catalogue. Unless you operate as a roadie and need to clean dozens of cases and amps now and then, a bottle of this cleaner will last you a lifetime! It really gives a nice shine to the tolex-covered cases and amps. Amp & Case Cleaner has had a rating of 4.7/5 out of 12 reviews, which is outstanding user feedback considering the fact that it’s been available for a couple of years in the EU! As with any Music Nomad product, I have my full trust in the MusicNomad product line and no doubt in the product quality across their entire catalogue.
