Hello there, and welcome back to probably the shortest piece of content on my blog! Here, I wanted to compare the legendary Klotz Titanium instrument cable with a generic guitar cable, the kind you get as a gift when you buy a beginner guitar! 🙂 You may think that this is not a fair comparison. But it’s just a simple comparison. I have this basic rig and setup below, and I want to hear the differences between these two cables. I just played some simple guitar parts; here we go!
Table of Contents

Here you are: Just after the video, I have provided the correct answers for you.
Klotz Titanium vs Regular Cable Comparison & Blind Test (no talking)
Correct answer
1st Cable: Generic guitar cable
2nd Cable: Klotz Titanium
As you may hear, there’s some difference between the two sound samples, while every parameter remains the same. Klotz Titanium is definitely one of the best and most durable guitar cables ever made.
I wish I could have tested the Klotz LaGrange, which is the industry-standard guitar cable when it comes to audio quality, versus a generic cable, along with the Klotz Titanium.
Of course, I’m not here to claim that Klotz sounds 100x times better than a generic cable. It doesn’t. It just features a bigger body of sound, in my opinion, and less mud = more clarity. These days, I have gone back to the Klotz brand again and got myself a pair of Klotz LaGrange cables, but I don’t have the Titaniums anymore.
Hopefully, I will be publishing more guitar cable comparisons here, as I have had many guitar cables in recent years to test! I plan to compare all my instrument cables, which I partially did with my Ernie Ball, Shnoor and Cordial cables.
Now, I’m planning to add Klotz to this group and see how they stand out or whether they could stand out from this group!
In the meantime, if you are into high-quality guitar cables like Klotz, you may have a look at the links below to purchase them from Amazon or Reverb.
