Takamine GD11M Review – Packed with Value!

Hello there, back again with another acoustic guitar review, this time, we will be looking at an excellent, all-around dreadnought acoustic guitar that comes in fully acoustic or cutaway acoustic-electric options by Takamine GD11M model acoustic guitars!

Regular readers of my blog are already aware that Takamine is one of my favourite guitar brands which I had encountered countless times during my service in the musical instruments industry.

Takamine guitar company was founded in 1959 in Japan and has been active since then. They are very well-known for their unique approach to guitar making, and I believe these are what really set them apart from their competitors.

Even though it’s a Japanese company, there are many guitars in their product line that are made in China. This used to be a red flag for the buyers, however, it’s all about how you design the whole manufacturing process so no need to worry about the build quality.

As a great example of this, I would highly suggest you check out my Takamine GD93CE acoustic guitar review which is, in my opinion, a piece of art and still made in China!

This particular model we are looking at today is the GD11 series. Takamine‘s products usually reveal the body type as well as the fretboard material or the series of segmentation they come up with; such as Pro models, Signature models…etc

Takamine GD11M and GD11M CE also reveal that these guitars belong to a more affordable series featuring a dreadnought mahogany body.

These guitars are so cleverly designed and released that they offer a tremendous amount of value among their competitors and they are very very affordable!

Let’s have a quick demo of the guitar here below, then I will provide tech specs right after that. In this video, all MyDukkan staff played Takamine GD11M dreadnought acoustic guitar including me (as the last player).
